KCS regularly accepts horses for sale, or aids in the sale of your horse. If you would like advice or help selling your horse we offer a one week (5 day) sales evaluation. This evaluation includes video taped rides, photographs, and a comprehensive sales plan, as well as any bathing or clipping that is needed to make your horse shine in his pictures. There is no further obligation to use KCS as your agent after the week is completed, and all of the videos and photographs are yours to keep.

$200/horse

::Clinics::

Katie is available for off site lessons and clinics at your farm and regularly travels

throughout the upper and lower peninsula as well as Canada. Please call for pricing and current schedule. Lesson prices depend on the distance traveled and number of riders.

::Lease Options::

Leasing a horse is a great way to get miles on an educated horse before you take the plunge into ownership. We occasionally have horses owned by K. Colfer Sporthorses or clients of the barn available for lease. One lesson per week is required with your lease. Many of our students who horse show, but do not own a horse enjoy this option. Terms for leasing a horse vary depending on the specific horse, duration of lease, and whether you choose a half or full lease. We have some very economic options so don't be afraid to ask!

If your schedule is tight but you would still like to practice outside of your regular lesson,

 Try a practice ride $40.00/ride

Off site leases of KCS horses with terms for up to a year are available for some horses.

If we don't have what you are looking for, no problem. We are happy to help find an appropriate lease elsewhere. 10% commission on all non KCS leases.

They will have the opportunity to watch our farrier at work and may get to see our veterinarian as well. Some weeks have the additional option of a horse show experience at the end of the week. Mounted and unmounted learning opportunities, have an emphasis on safety and good horsemanship.
